Matsunoyama — snow country of terraced rice and hot springs
Set above the village of Amamizushima in Matsunoyama, Niigata, this three-story house opens its entire second floor to guests. Three Japanese-style rooms plus a shared living room, sleeping up to eight. Ski in winter, wild vegetables in spring, rice terraces in summer, crimson forests in autumn.
ABOUT
Matsunoyama is known for one of Japan's three great medicinal hot springs, the beech forest of Bijinbayashi, and its iconic terraced rice fields. Our three-story house stands on a quiet hillside above the village — wooden and reinforced-concrete construction, with the full second floor dedicated to your stay.
Up to eight guests can take over the space entirely. No shared floors, no neighbors on the stairwell — just your group, the mountains, and the seasons.
